How Do Free Doubles and Free Splits Work?
When you sit at a Free Bet Blackjack table, the dealer manages the free bets using special gold coins or digital tokens. If you are dealt a hard 9, 10, or 11 (meaning no Aces, or Aces valued as 1), the dealer automatically offers a free double. Your original bet stays on the table, and the casino places a free bet token of equal value next to it. If you win, you get paid for both bets. If you lose, you only lose your original bet.
- Free Double Conditions: Only allowed on hard 9, 10, and 11. Soft totals like soft 13 to 18 do not qualify for a free double.
- Free Split Rules: Available on all pairs except 10s (10, Jack, Queen, King). This includes splitting Aces for free.
- Re-Splitting and Doubling: Most tables allow free re-splits up to four hands and free doubles after a split.
